Helpful Things To Know About Getting There
Need an extra hand getting in and out of the vehicle? uberASSIST is designed to provide additional assistance to seniors and people with disabilities. Driver-partners are specifically trained by Open Doors Organization to assist riders into vehicles and can accommodate folding wheelchairs, walkers, and scooters.
UberWAV allows riders with relevant disabilities to request wheelchair accessible vehicles. When riders select the UberWAV option, they’re connected with vehicles equipped with ramps or lifts.

Uber now includes the option to schedule a ride 15 minutes to 30 days in advance using the Scheduled Rides feature.

The Lyft app allows passengers with accessibility needs to enable Access Mode. In certain markets, when Access Mode is enabled, vehicles that are specially outfitted to accommodate wheelchairs will be dispatched in lieu of a standard Lyft vehicle. In markets where those vehicles are not available, information regarding local services will be sent directly to the passenger via text message when the ride is requested.

Staples Center Parking
It is recommended that you plan your trip before you leave home and allow extra time for unanticipated delays due to traffic congestion, road construction, etc. Always follow traffic safety precautions when traveling to and from events.
Located in downtown Los Angeles, STAPLES Center is easily accessible from several major freeways and from a variety of public transportation options. There are 3,300 parking spaces at STAPLES Center-owned parking lots.
More than 16,000 parking spaces are available within a seven to ten minute walk to the district. These lots are privately owned and operated. Parking at these lots provides an affordable option to guests within a short walking distance. Rates and hours of operation in these lots vary and are controlled by private management of the individual lots.
Prepaid parking is available through STAPLES Center and Microsoft Theater Box Offices and online at AXS.com.
Designated parking is available for guests with disabilities. These spaces, including van-accessible spaces, are designated for vehicles displaying a current state-issued disability placard or license plate. Guest Services can provide further information regarding parking access for guests with disabilities. We may require proof of California ADA registration. Taxis, Buses and Limousines must drop-off and pick-up passengers in these designated areas.

WEST GARAGE (LOT W, GATE B) – When attending an event (lasting 3½ hours or more), we recommend the West Garage (Lot W, Gate B, Enter on Chick Hearn Ct.). Pay a flat rate ($10-$30 depending on the event) upon entering the lot. Stay as late as you wish – don’t worry about a validation. Gate B opens 3½ hours prior to event time.
EAST GARAGE (LOT E) – Timed parking, $30 max.
VALET (EAST GARAGE) – Timed parking, $40 max.

Please obey all posted signs when dropping off and be aware that LAPD will enforce the “No Stopping” signs posted throughout the district. There are areas designated for drop-off and pick-up. The Auto Club is at STAPLES Center during LA Kings and L.A. Lakers home games (1 ½ hours after game start to 1 hour after game ends) to provide fans with complimentary roadside assistance. Navigating the Stadium
Guest Services Centers are located on the main and upper concourses of the arena and are designed to provide information to guests with questions, concerns, or issues during Staples Center events. In addition, the Guest Services Centers provide assistance to guests with disabilities and/or special needs (see Disabled Services). Guests are welcome to contact the Guest Services department any time before or after the event.

Staples Center is a fairly modern stadium and is not terribly difficult to navigate. There are, however, a number of steps and small stairs surrounding the entrance – especially the main entrance. This could prove to be difficult for some to navigate. All entrances are accessible to persons using a wheelchair. Security personnel and ticket-takers are available to provide assistance.
Bags that are smaller than 14”x14”x6” will be permitted inside STAPLES Center. Backpacks of any size and all bags larger than 14”x14”x6” are not permitted. Please note that some events may enforce a modified bag policy. Please see the specific event page or contact Guest Services for further information.
Non-professional, non-flash, still photography is permitted at most events (disposable, digital, or 35mm cameras with no interchangeable or telephoto lens). Video and audio recording is prohibited. Accessible Tickets can be purcahsed at www.staplescenter.com under “TICKETS” and “Accessible Tickets”. AXS event tickets can be purchased at (888)-929-7849 and by requesting accessible tickets. Ticketmaster event tickets can be purchased at (800)-745-3000 and by requesting accessible tickets. Accessible Tickets can also be purchased at the Staples Center Box Office in between Georgia and Figueroa St. or by calling them at (213)-742-7340.
Almost each seating section has accessible seating at the bottom of the level. You can request three additional seats per one accessible seat ticket if needed. The railings in front of the accessible seats are low and do not obstruct view of the court/rink. Additionally, the seats are located high enough above the sections below them that even when people stand up, your view is not obstructed.
For guests who wish to transfer to a seat from their wheelchair, Staples Center will store your wheelchair at the Guest Services Center. Staff will make arrangements to return the wheelchair to you at the end of the event, or any other time you would prefer. Contact Guest Services at 213-742-7100 to arrange for this service.
Wheelchair Escorts are avaivalble (complimentary). Escorts are available at entry points or by making an advance arrangement, which can be done by contacting Guest Services at 213-742-7100.
All restrooms in the Staples Center are accessible. They are located by every section on every level of the venue.
Service animals are welcome in all public areas of the stadium where the guest using the service animal may go. A service animal shall be under the control of its handler at all times.
A service animal shall have a harness, leash, or other tether, unless either the handler is unable because of a disability to use a harness, leash, or other tether, or the use of a harness, leash, or other tether would interfere with the service animal´s safe, effective performance of work or tasks, in which case the service animal must be otherwise under the handler´s control (e.g., voice control, signals, or other effective means).
Guests with service animals are responsible for cleaning up after their animals and for their appropriate behavior toward other guests and Dodger personnel at all times. A failure to do may result in the animal’s removal from the stadium. Staples Center is not responsible in any way for the care or supervision of a service animal.
Concessions are accessible for wheelchairs. The waiting line aisles are wide, the concession stand counters are low, the ground is smooth, and there are no gradients. Staples Center does not deliver concessions.
Assisted Listening Devices are available for hearing and/or visually impaired guests. Visit Guest Services on the Main Concourse across form aisle M12 to request ALD. A valid form of identification is required to check ALD out. This service is complimentary.

STAPLES Center continually works with the Los Angeles Fire Department, the Los Angeles Police Department, and other agencies in the development of specific Emergency Procedures Plans for each event. STAPLES Center's goal is to provide a safe and enjoyable atmosphere by using installed automated security systems and appropriate security operating plans. Trained Guest Services and Security personnel will ensure the security and safety of all guests, performers, and employees at STAPLES Center. In the case of an emergency, guests must comply with requests from venue staff regarding arena operations and emergency response procedures.

Metro Bus lines 30, 81, 439, 442, 460 and the Silver Line all stop near Staples Center. DASH Bus Route F stops adjacent to Staples Center. The Metro Blue Line and Metro Expo Line both stop at Staples Center. You can plan your trip to Staples Center via public transportation via www.metro.net.
There is no shuttle service available for people with disabilities from parking lots to entrance gates.
Animals and pets are prohibited from Staples Center except for trained service animals and service animals in training. Service animals must remain on a leash inside the venue and must rest in the seating area of the disabled patron during the event. Service animals who pose a threat to other guests may be asked to leave the premises.
Wheelchair escorts are available as a complimentary service. Escorts are available at entry points or by making an advance arrangement, which can be done by contacting Guest Services at (213)-742-7100. Wheelchairs are not available for rent, though. Escorts will not remain with you through the duration of the event nor can you remain in the wheelchair for the duration. Wheelchair storage is also available at Staples Center. If you wish to transfer from a wheelchair to a seat, Guest Services will store your wheelchair for you. They will make arrangements to return your wheelchair to you at the end of an event. Contact Guest Services to arrange for this service.
Tailgating is not allowed at Staples Center.
Lot W and Lot E are open everyday from 6am to 2am. Lot 1 and Lot C open two and a half hours before an event. It is highly recommended that disabled patrons arrive as early as possible to ensure an accessible spot as it is first-come-first-serve. If you have pre-purchased a spot, it is still recommended that you arrive early.

There are no tv monitors positioned close to or above the accessible seats.
Staples Center povides signed performances for select concert events. This service is not, however, guaranteed at every concert event. Contact Guest Services at (213)-742-7100 at least two weeks in advance to attending an event to request this service. This gives Staples Center ample time to make the necessary arrangements.
Sensory Safety Kits are provided to patrons with Autism, Dementia, or Traumatic Brain injuries. The kit addresses issues with loud noises and bright lights.
